Tidbits on new Lincoln movie

All has been quiet on the Spielberg Lincoln movie front, lately. But if you scroll down a bit in this piece on Liam Neeson, you'll find mention that the film is scheduled to begin production this fall. Not much detail, but better than nothing, I suppose.
And this story claims that Spielberg is considering Harrison Ford for the part of Andrew Johnson. I thought this was a joke, until I saw similiar stories here and here. So maybe there's something to this.
I don't know...I can see the physical resemblance--given enough makeup--but Ford doesn't really strike me as a Johnson sort, in some difficult to define way. Moreover, Johnson's not likely to have a very big part in the film; surely not big enough for a heavyweight like Ford. I can see him playing Seward, perhaps. But Johnson?

Hi,
I agree with your movie choices. I love Glory and Unforgiven. Also on my list is kindof a meld of the two - Dances With Wolves. Civil War plus a Western - with a real western moral - thoughtfully presenting the sadness and beauty of the native.

Just a thought.
