Lincoln photography exhibit in Washington DC

Nice story here from the Washington Post about an exhibit of Lincoln photographs currently on display at the National Portrait Gallery, entitled "The Mask of Lincoln."

The point being made in that rather unusual title--and explored in the story linked above--is how little we know about the inner Lincoln, and how little of the man is revealed in his photographs, and this despite the fact that we have over fifty authenticated likenesses of the man. He seems to have used photos of himself to both conceal and reveal simultaneously.
